In the framework of the mutual benchmarking program between Dubai courts and Ras Al Khaimah courts, Chancellor Ahmed Mohammed Al Khatri, chairman of RAK Courts Department, received H.E. Expert Taresh Eid Al Mansouri, Director General of Dubai Courts who was briefed on the experience of the Case Management Offices activated in RAK Courts as of 1/3/2015, and which has achieved success in reducing the duration rates of lawsuits and speeding their settlement in front of competent courts in a very short period of time, thus enhancing the efficiency index of the judicial system in the framework of the national agenda of UAE vision 2021.
The meeting was attended by Judge Mohammed al-Homsi, director of the Court of Cassation, and Chancellor Ibrahim Al Manaei, director of the Court of Appeal, and Chancellor Hassan Yousef Alrogha, chairman of the Court of First Instance, and judge Yusuf Rajab, judge in the Court of First Instance of Ras Al Khaimah, in addition to directors of departments and some department managers.
This visit by Dubai courts to RAK courts is the fourth in less than a year; as part of a series of benchmarking programs began long ago and carried out on a periodical and regular basis, and which benefited both sides in many judicial, technical and cognitive aspects, as well as in the field of institutional excellence, and the enforcement of a Memorandum of Understanding between Ras Al Khaimah courts and Dubai courts to exchange legal and administrative expertise for the development of work.
Dubai courts has provided its expertise in the field of excellence awards during the establishment of the Beacon of Excellence and Creativity Award in RAK courts since 2012; the award that contributed to the progress achieved by Ras Al Khaimah courts in the Institutional Excellence Award in the emirate from eighth place to fourth place in the Distinguished Government Department category, as well as achieving first place in the Distinguished Government Department in Customer Service, and the categories of Distinguished Administration, Distinguished Supervisor and Distinguished Employee in Customer Service in 2013, and the constant drive towards excellence continued during 2014 and led to the department reaping first place in the categories of Distinguished Director, Distinguished Department Head, Distinguished Assistant Administrative Officer, and second place in the category of Distinguished Administration (Notary Public), and second place in the category of Distinguished Department (sessions division).
At the end of the benchmarking meeting, the chairman of RAK Courts Department Ahmed Al Khatri presented a commemorative shield to H.E. Expert Taresh Eid Al Mansouri, Director General of Dubai Courts.
