RAK Courts launch the first e-training initiative

Chancellor Ahmed Mohammed Al Khatri, director of RAK Courts Department launched an e-learning initiative which is considered the first of its kind in the emirate in collaboration with Knowledge Horizon, the training partner of the department; where 34 electronic training programs were launched covering many areas of management development, such as: Customer service, delegation, negotiation skills, leadership skills, and many more.Chancellor Ahmed Khatri stated that the e-learning will be the dominant form of training in the next phase, because the traditional form of training will completely disappear in the future because it wastes the time of institutions, and he said: “I want this initiative to make each employee feel like they’re going to a happy place when they’re going to work; where their skills are developed and they are motivated and rewarded in exchange of their superior performance to achieve the vision and mission of the department”.Al Khatri added: “I, as the director or RAK Courts, want to be the first to benefit from the e-training initiative, and I hope it will also benefit my fellow members of the judiciary, in addition to the department’s employees of different specializations, by dedicating an hour from the employees’ daily work day to take advantage of the e-training programs, and linking them to material incentives that encourage employees to develop their skills and attain various administrative and specialized knowledge, with the importance of measuring the impact of this initiative on a regular basis”.From his side, Dr. Maen Al Qattami, director of Knowledge Horizon, stated that the e-training program that has been prepared specifically for the Courts Department provides the ability to monitor the participants in the training programs by the Department of Human Resources and to extract reports on their performance. Each training program consists of 10 hours on average, and the trainee should achieve 90% at least of the training material, and pass its own test, noting that the training program includes videos produced by Knowledge Horizon to help simplify and facilitate comprehension of the training material by the trainees. Dr. Maen Al Qattami also added that knowledge must be obtained by the employee on a daily basis, and it does not come only through e-training where they acquire skills immediately. For example, if the employee had the opportunity to exercise electronically for 10 minutes a day, the skills and knowledge that will be obtained will exceed what college students obtain annually.
